After a week of turmoil following the release of an explosive interview where he revealed he was unhappy at the club, Lukaku is back in contention for Wednesday’s clash.
The Belgium international was dropped from the squad on Sunday as a result of the interview where he also talked up a return to former side Inter Milan.
The striker has now apologised to the club and supporters and is in line to return against Spurs and his former manager Antonio Conte.
It is the first of three meetings with Spurs this month with a crucial Premier League showdown with Manchester City looming on 15 January.

Ahead of Wednesday’s clash at Stamford Bridge, Lukaku says the Blues must play with the drive that saw them come from behind against Liverpool on Sunday and maintain momentum heading into that critical run.
‘Now we have a very important game against Spurs where we will have to make sure that we set the tone from the first minute,’ Lukaku told Chelsea’s official website.

‘Looking back at the game against Liverpool, we showed people that we can compete, we were unlucky not to get the win.
‘But if we set the same tone and keep the momentum going and turn those draws into wins I think it can be a very exciting season for us.’
